for the record
I use custom name servers with all of my domains. I have both enom and networksolutions registered domains– and I know how to update name servers and associate IP addresses.
Recently, I have been doing things with Google Sites and the Professional-Pros.com domain. Professional-Pros is an enom registered account. So is hosting-q.com.
So I have been checking things with my enom domain service and noticed something odd.
Here is part of the letter I got from LunarPages when I setup hosting for my Hosting-q.com which is a reseller account.
In order to use your own domain name at Lunarpages you must change the name servers to the following:
If your registrar requires the IP addresses:
* NS1.fastsecureservers.com: 220.127.116.11
* NS2.fastsecureservers.com: 18.104.22.168
Tutorial on how to change Nameservers: http://wiki.lunarpages.com/Changing_Nameservers
Instead of using NS1.fastsecureservers.com and NS2.fastsecureservers.com I associate custom name servers with the IP addresses:
Here are images of the enom services that provides the status of name servers:
This morning when I got up at 5:00 something– I checked the Horoscopes interface before reinstalling new copies of all my interfaces and the date was correct– meaning the database had been loaded properly with the new data. I did not have to reinstall a new copy of the Horoscopes interface.
The Birthday Interface works in a similar manner and it has always worked. I knew the Horoscopes interface worked too. It always worked in my local development environment. But for some reason I always had to reinstall a new copy of the interface for it to load the current day’s data to the database and delete the old.
I always felt– overnight someone was changing the servers and not reinitializing tomcat [java server] or something like that.
later in the day, today– I asked if someone was in jail?
This interface should have always worked without my having to reinstall a new copy each morning and if the person tampering with my sites was in jail that might explain why it worked without my having to do anything this morning.
I am providing my name servers so that everyone can see what I see. These should not change. I set them within my registration services:
qisoftware.com: IP- 22.214.171.124
hosting-q.com: IP- 126.96.36.199
* NS1.hosting-q.com: 188.8.131.52
* NS2.hosting-q.com: 184.108.40.206
This information should never change and I leave all of this information public because I have too many problems with others trying to claim my work, sites or income.
I repeat– those are custom name servers I set up. The domain IPs should always remain the same. The name servers can change but the IP addresses should not. All IPs were provided by my web hosting providers.
Update 5.14.2011: This morning I did have to reinstall a new copy of the Horoscopes interface. They may have let the crook out of jail– or they may not want those in the know to know who the crook is. Horoscopes application should have worked. Too much like the celebrity birth day tool. Already conquered that mountain.
while running tests this morning- I found the IP for ns1.hosting-q.com was listed in this manner. ns1.qisoftware.com also shown:
According to this Arin report [partially illustrated below]: 220.127.116.11 is a WingSix IP address. I used WingSix about 4 years ago to host both qisoftware.com and hosting-q.com. Huh?
ns1.hosting-q.com associated with 18.104.22.168 is not the flag. Anyone can set up custom name servers. What is? That I used WingSix in the past. NS1.qisoftware.com — showed the IP address for qisoftware.com.
I believe my sites are being mirrored. That’s why the underreports insofar as traffic and affiliate ad impressions and perhaps why the Horoscopes interface has to be reinitialized each morning.. My sites should not be mirrored. Why not the similar birth day interface? My guess– government employees would like to think and have others think too, that I am good enough to work for them. Mistake– works locally, and the birthday interface works. US government- play with your idiots. You do not play with me and my work.
Or — that I would provide the code to prove it works. Yelp– I know why I do not work for the US government.
hosting-q.com is registered to me. I have no web hosting clients. You believe that you are hosted with Hosting-Q.com? Contact the FBI.
