Easters of Yore
What are you doing for Easter? Me? Cooking, exercising and thinking about Easters of yore.
This photo– of my sister, brother and me– was taken when we lived in ChippingNorton, England.
One of the things I remember most about Easter when I was growing up- the new outfits we got for church. The dresses in the above photo were a pale pink with coordinating white stripes.
It is such a nice day out today– for a moment I thought my father should be out with his camera taking photos of us as we were about to go to church. Then we could come home and get into our Easter Baskets.
No, I do not miss my family– these days. I do miss the way our life used to be.
My mother- when I talked to her earlier, seemed sad. Not sure why. Maybe she misses dressing us up for Easter?
