Lately, I have been tracking this young Canadian female blogger and her personal finance blog. Let’s call her Krystal. She provides a lot of information about her personal finance. She cleared about $17,000.00 in student loans and credit card debt. How?
Rather than owning a car– she owns a scooter. I have decided I want a scooter. Not because I have debt. I do not. Why? Most of my trips are within a 2 mile radius and I do not want to use my car for these types of trips. So I had been thinking about a scooter– even before I found Krystal’s blog.
Costco has an electric scooter for about $250.00 but it does not have the storage and I am a little concerned about battery life. I think I will look into a gas powered scooter– actually I have already started.
This could give new meaning to “Regina is having a bad hair day”– if I do decide to opt for this new travel accommodation– especially in the Maryland summer months. Maryland may be planning to evict me for a recent post, so it may be a moot issue, anyway. They also sent me the registration fee for my car today. A whooping $128.00.
You know what I have noticed recently? There are more older and smaller cars on the roads these days. Are others reading Krystal’s blog too– or is it just the “economy stupid”?
