Sunday, April 27, 2014 :: Q...
Checking the ARIN IP Info Tool I maintain on the WiredPages Technology page- shows the new IP for qisoftware.com is now correctly being reported by the qisoftware.com domain server.
Does this mean I will update WiredPages tools I host from hosting-q.com? No.
For some time now [since Jan. 2012], security issues have dictated I ignore broken widgets for WiredPages. Examples of code not working before march 2014, World Weather Tool, congressional rep report, horoscopes, cia widget, etc.
So issues with the tools before the March 2014 move to the new IP address will not be fixed and therefor there is no point in updating the security features I build into all of the code I write for my sites.
As soon as I can move to a private server I will update all of the code for WiredPages and the rest of my site areas… My blogger calendars work.. Most things work in my local development environment however I have no plans to update my local copies of my code. Too many attempt to steal my software. I do not want them trying to steal “fixed” software. Yes, I have researched the fixes I will not to implement to fix the code, but have not updated the code in my local storage environment..
translated.. no need to try to steal from me.. It’s all broken in my bag… notes on how to fix it.. if you could use them– you could write your own.
